Birmingham City Ladies are delighted to confirm that our FA WSL Spring Series match against Liverpool Ladies will be played at St. Andrew’s stadium on Sunday 7 May, kick off 2pm.

The change of venue from the Ladies’ usual home at Solihull Moors shows that the ever-increasing unity between the Men’s and Ladies teams after the announcement in November that Blues Ladies had formally become part of the ‘Blues Family’.

It is also a testament to the increasing popularity that women’s football has sustained over the past few seasons, coupled with the success of the England team that finished in third place at the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup, featuring three former Blues players as well as current striker Ellen White.

It’s not the first time Blues Ladies have played at St. Andrew’s, having previously brought Champions League football in the 2013/14 season defeating Russian side Zorky Krasnogorsk 5-2 in the Round of 16 before getting the better of English rivals Arsenal Ladies 1-0 in the Quarter Finals.

Blues’ Champions League journey ended at the Semi Final stage, losing out 3-0 to Swedish side Tyreso after drawing the first leg 0-0 at Solihull Moors.

The team have started off the 2017 season in fine form having reached the SSE Women’s FA Cup Semi Final over the weekend, defeating current holders Arsenal Ladies 1-0.
