Christiansen earns first call-up

Isobel Christiansen has received her first call-up to the England Women's senior squad.

Christiansen will join Blues teammates Karen Carney and Jade Moore in La Manga, Spain next week as the England Seniors meet for warm weather training. 

The Blues forward has impressed at England U23s level and will replace Sydney striker Jodie Taylor, following her withdrawal from the squad. 

Christiansen has represented England at every level from the U17s to U23s and she was an integral part of the U19 squad that won the European Championship in Belarus in 2009.

The training camp in La Manga will be Mark Sampson’s first assignment as England’s new Head Coach.
