REPORT: SKINNER REFLECTS ON EVERTON WIN
Blues Ladies boss Marc Skinner gives his thoughts after Sunday's 3-0 victory away at Everton.
Skinner on beating a determined Everton side:
"Everton are a very good young team and I like what they're doing here. They were structured, organised and coached well. They tried to counter us so we had to find a way of picking them and fortunately we found a way to do that today.
I was pleased with the type of goals we scored. The second one was quite fortunate with the bobble and that eases the game for us. Overall I think we controlled the game and it's a comprehensive win which suggests we have done well."
Skinner on the performance of goalscorers Charlie Wellings and Ellen White:
"Charlie Wellings has got loads more in her but she just needs to find the composure because she's one of the best finishers at the club. She just needs to make sure she slots the ball home when she gets a chance and today her first strike was exceptional. We know she's got that in her locker and if she can bring that out more often she'll be become a great player for this club.
"Ellen has got the knack. She finds the knack of scoring goals and I think that's concentration more than anything and I'm really pleased with her performance too."
Skinner looking ahead to Sunday's season finale against Reading at St. Andrews:
"We want Blues fans to come and support us. I think we've given a real good account of themselves this year and we really want a big crowd at St Andrews to come and support us.
We're taking on a very good Reading team with the potential to finish third or fourth and that'd be great for us. We're one point off finishing on the best points tally this club has ever had so it'd be a great fat for us. So let's pack out St Andrews!"
